Reflecting on the first two decades of Wildfire – Glenview, Executive Chef and Partner Joe Decker, who opened the original Wildfire location in Chicago and has been with Lettuce Entertain You for 38 years, said: “In one word, working at Wildfire – Glenview is ‘gratifying.’ Because our chef team is so strong and reliable, I can play around in the kitchen and be creative, and not have to worry about the day-to-day stuff. I know that our Wildfire guests will have a consistently enjoyable dining experience with us.”
Decker says that high-quality food prepared in a simple fashion is a cornerstone of the Wildfire menu, as demonstrated in the Spinach Salad, topped with bacon, mushrooms, radishes and chopped egg tossed with Wildfire’s signature warm mustard dressing. This superstar salad is making its comeback from Monday, September 9 – Friday, September 13.

Linda Djankovic, who has held a variety of roles at the restaurant since starting on day one as a server, says, “Wildfire guests are special. They come back a lot, which is nice. I’ve seen kids grow up – go to college, get married…I just love these people – my guests, my coworkers, my management team.”
Along with the smiling faces of the team at Wildfire, Chef Decker’s creative takes on simple delights like hearty sandwiches have kept guests coming back for 20 years. Enjoy the return of the fan-favorite Mustard Crusted Chicken Sandwich, served on a pretzel roll with cole slaw, lettuce and tomato, and fresh cut French fries on the side.

Wildfire – Glenview’s guests have also come to rely on the restaurant’s flavorful and satisfying preparations of steaks, chops and seafood. For the 20th anniversary celebration, dip into Classic Skillet Roasted Mussels, roasted in garlic butter, available for dine-in and carryout and delivery for the celebration.
Served with slow-roasted tomatoes and caramelized onions, also on special for the anniversary is the Wildfire Swordfish “London Broil.” A method typically reserved for lean cuts of meat, Chef Decker marinates and then grills Char Crust dry-rubbed swordfish “steaks” for this elevated dish from the original Glenview menu.
